JOOLA Sponsors Jackson Chance Foundation’s 6th Annual Ping Pong Ball to Support Families with Ill Babies

Join JOOLA USA in supporting the Jackson Chance Foundation’s fundraising efforts at their 6th Annual Ping Pong Ball at the St. Jane Hotel in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 at 5:30PM! Guests will enjoy food and cocktails, compete in a table tennis tournament, play games, or bid on unique auction packages. Past special guests include NBA players and Olympians.
JOOLA USA is proud to sponsor this event in support of the Jackson Chance Foundation and their mission to allow families to spend more time with their child in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). “JOOLA USA is dedicated to supporting the community and to be able to make such an impactful difference while building a passion for table tennis is what we are all about,” said JOOLA USA President, Richard Lee.

On 11.11.11 @ 11:11pm, Jackson Chance was born 10 weeks premature to parents Carrie and Terry Meghie. Baby Jackson spent all but 48 hours of his 10 short months on Earth at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. For those 10 months, Carrie and Terry spent every day at Jackson’s side and made the most out of every moment with him.
The Meghie’s noticed that other families were not so lucky. Many families could not afford to visit as often. Parking fees at city hospitals like the one the Meghie’s were at in Chicago can cost more than $1,000 a month. This is a huge financial burden for parents who are sometimes forced to decide between visiting their child or paying their rent.
After Jackson passed away in 2012, Terry and Carrie co-founded the Jackson Chance Foundation together to honor their son by alleviating the parking expense burden to allow other families to spend more time with their child in the NICU.
Through the Jackson Chance Foundation Transportation Program, monthly parking passes with 24/7 garage access and unlimited in and out privileges are distributed to every family whose child is admitted to the NICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital.
Since 2013, the Foundation has raised more than $1.5 million to pay for parking expenses. Don’t miss out on this chance to have a blast and play table tennis all while making a meaningful difference for families with critically ill babies!
