MILPITAS, CA – JOOLA and India Community Center (ICC) Table Tennis have signed an agreement for JOOLA to become the official equipment sponsor of the club. A 20,000 square foot state-of-the art facility, ICC Table Tennis is one of the largest full-time running clubs in North America, with 30 table tennis tables and 12 full-time and 10 part-time coaches.
Notably, JOOLA previously sponsored ICC back in 2010 and 2011 when ICC was quickly rising as the nation’s table tennis hub. Now, the club has established its esteemed reputation with over 400 existing members, as well as a prestigious juniors program known as the Talented Kids Program (TKP). The program currently has 40 professional and committed juniors that train a minimum of 4 days a week.
“We are very excited to once again partner with JOOLA,” said ICC executive director, Rajul Sheth. “Something clicked in our minds that our very own ICC player, Lily Zhang, as well as many other top athletes in the U.S. are currently playing with JOOLA, which gives us confidence that this sponsorship will be a success.”
Following the sponsorship deal, ICC will exclusively use JOOLA equipment, including JOOLA 3000SC competition tables, barriers, and balls, as well as carry JOOLA products in their Pro Shop. Additionally, every junior who is a part of the TKP program will use JOOLA equipment, which Sheth believes will greatly benefit both parties.
“We’re not only going to promote JOOLA to ICC or bay area juniors, but we’re also looking forward to promoting JOOLA nationwide,” commented Sheth. “Because ICC is the only club that is truly committed to recruiting new table tennis players, we believe that with JOOLA’s help, we will be able to further promote and grow the sport in the United States.”
The ICC Table Tennis Center is located in Milpitas, CA, just northeast of San Jose. Known as the premier developer for table tennis talent in the United States, ICC has produced top table tennis athletes, such as USA Olympic team members Lily Zhang, Ariel Hsing, Timothy Wang, and Jiaqi Zheng. Furthermore, ICC has been selected as and remains a USATT National Center of Excellence.
