Practicing in game like situations
I’ve been pretty busy with exams so haven’t had time to update in a while. Just had my last one today, and so I haven’t been able to play nearly as much as I would like. Now I got a week off before classes start again, so I’m hoping to get back in the rhythm of things before collegiate regionals that are coming up in the next couple of months. I’ll probably mostly focus on getting in better shape and working on the first three balls in a point: the serve, return of serve, and first attack. Hopefully with enough work on these three areas I will be able to have enough of an advantage in rallies to keep up with other players. Remember, while we all like to practice with long drills, the points that we play in tournaments are rarely like that and so those practices can often times be misleading. Always remember to practice in game-like situations to improve.
